On June 14,2024, a special lecture on large unit teaching was successfully held in Shuangliu District Experimental Primary School, Chengdu city. Real young Chinese teachers gathered together to discuss the concept and practice of large unit teaching, and inject new vitality into the education and teaching reform in the new era.
With the deepening of the new curriculum reform, large unit teaching, as a new teaching mode, has gradually attracted the attention of the majority of educators. The purpose of this lecture is to deeply analyze the connotation, characteristics and practical methods of large unit teaching, provide practical teaching strategies and methods for teachers, and promote the overall improvement of education and teaching quality.
In the lecture entitled "Practice and Exploration of Large Unit Teaching", Mr.Shen Hongjun explained the core concept of large unit teaching from the setting of teaching objectives, the organization of teaching content, and the selection of teaching methods. She stressed that large-unit teaching not only requires teachers to pay attention to the integrity, coherence and systematization of knowledge in the teaching process, but also pay attention to students' subjectivity and creativity, so that students can learn in real situations and grow in practice.
At the same time, Mr.Shen also combined with the third grade second volume Chinese teaching, detailed explanation of the practical exploration of large unit teaching. She pointed out that when implementing large unit teaching, teachers should pay attention to the creation of problem situations, stimulate students' interest in learning and desire to explore by designing challenging and inspiring questions; Meanwhile, they should also pay attention to the integration and penetration between disciplines, so that students can broaden their horizons and improve their ability in interdisciplinary learning.
In the lecture entitled "Focus on core Literacy and implement large Unit teaching", Mr.Lai Wenjing grasped the current existing problems in Chinese teaching and put forward the direction of Chinese teaching efforts. She pointed out that Chinese teaching should focus on the core literacy, emphasizing the accumulation and construction of students' active practice of language use, form language experience, grasp the rules of language, and form Chinese literacy, rather than the teaching of Chinese knowledge and the training of Chinese ability.
At the same time, Lai also shared the relationship between large units, learning task groups and core qualities. And focuses on the key and steps of Chinese large unit teaching design. Take the core quality as the key; take learning as the main line; take the life as the basis; take the theme as the guide; take the task as the carrier is the key to the Chinese large unit teaching design. Grasp the five key words, design a large unit teaching with a total of three steps: (1) arrange the content according to the curriculum standard; (2) coordinate the unit elements; (3) overall planning unit design.
