Dean Yang Lin's lecture was carried out from four aspects: the connotation of students' core quality, character and character education, the construction and implementation of school character education curriculum, and the practical cases of character education.
Firstly, it introduces the connotation of students' core accomplishment from three aspects. First, the content of Chinese students' development of core literacy is the essential character and key ability that students should possess. Its role is to lead the reform of school curriculum and education mode, and to guide teachers to implement core literacy in education and teaching. Second, through comparative research, we can sort out the common understanding of core literacy in different countries. The third is to explain the global literacy sorted out by OECD with my own story.
Second, the concept of scientific positioning of character. Dean Yang pointed out that character is a person's values and matching behavior ability, including three elements of value recognition, social emotion and behavior expression.
Thirdly, the curriculum and implementation system of school character education should be constructed, namely, one system, three cultures, four education products, five strategies, ten key points and sixteen paths. President Yang introduced the specific operation mode in detail through the specific case, which is vivid, specific and maneuverable.
Finally, Dean Yang also introduced the specific implementation strategies of character education through a large number of pictures, such as fault tolerance mechanism, evaluation mechanism, problem transformation strategy, behavior visualization strategy and mixed-age education strategy, which all left a deep impression on teachers.
"Character education is about what kind of values the next generation has," Yang stressed. Education should help mankind to find and build the values and basic codes of conduct of a community with a shared future. Without common values, how can we build a community with a shared future for mankind?"
Indeed, character education has a long way to go. As teachers, we shoulder the mission and responsibility of educating people for the party, cultivating talents for the country, and training new people who are responsible for the great task of national rejuvenation.
